The 1987 film The Big Easy explores police corruption in New Orleans, where a lieutenant investigates a crime secretly perpetrated by himself. 

Who keeps us safe from those who are supposed to keep us safe? This piece considers whether those in a position of power can be trusted not to abuse it. (Simple answer = no).
